Radvision Breaking Out on New Technology

RVSN is setting up for a double digit move up. It was up 8% today and unless the bear market decides to rear its ugly head, I suspect the stock is headed to $30 by early next month. Brace yourself for a wild ride.

H&M is a Great Retail Play on Sweden.

This retailer is the next Ikea of retail. Cheap and pretty is how the clothes can be described. Only problem- you need to be able to trade in the Stockholm stock exchange.

Speculate on Kohl's

Buyout rumors are making me look at rhis retailer.

$1.2 billion inflows to US Funds

This was yesterday. Ofcourse, this is not what caused the rally yesterday but considering equity supply shortage, this money shows increased demand that is good for the US markets.

Lack of Volume Yet Again Indicates Downtrend

Even though this really today is broad based, there is not enough volume that would indicate insider buying. Market still in a Downtrend.

Jones Soda Making New Highs

I recommend picking up some JSDA today. Its breaking out on huge volume.

International Securities Exchange Might Get a Bid Too

With CME and ICE duking it out over BOT, I bought ISE today. Smaller and cheaper than all others in the space.

Yahoo's Panama Improves Click Conversion

According to comScore, following Panama's release, Yahoo is showing an improvement in clicks and conversion. This was expected but the stock does not look like it understands the overall impact. I would short Google here (for the short-term) and be long Yahoo (for the long-term).

Volatility likely to decrease next week

With quadruple-witching today, the markets were more volatile than usual all week. I think we will see more of a trend next week.

Watch How the Market Closes Carefully

The final few hours of this trading day are crucial. The market could either dive a second time today or come back. The latter, although unlikely could signal a short term end to the correction. The former means we are going down at least another 5% soon.

Blockbuster broke out today on heavy volume. Watch this one go to $8.

Trina Solar the Newest in a List of Solar Panel Makers

Trina Solar (TSL) is something I will try to write in detail about soon. But for those who like to jump on new ideas, I like this stock. It is a chinese manufacturer of solar panels.

Garmin Back in Favor

After blowing estimates last month, Garmin has retreated down almost 12% and is right at its 50-day moving average. What a bargain this is.

Chipotle Mexican Grill is a Bargain

The stock is down 7.7% from its recent highs. I think its a good buy at these levels and would buy more if it gets down to $58.

Market Strong Despite Correction

Earlier today, I said that I thought the market would sell off towards the end and it did, but not as much as I expected. There are too many people calling for a correction, which leads me to believe the sell off will be over sooner than I expected.

Zumiez Up on High Same Store Sales

I have been a bull on this but I am thinking it might be time to take profits. Not sure which way to call this. Story is still young. Anyone analyze their fundamentals recently?

Contrarian Approach Tells Me to go Long Amazon and Short Goldman Sachs

I have been shorting Amazon for a long time and have lost my shirt on it. But everyone hates it, which leads me to believe the stock will not be going down anytime soon. On the other hand, everyone think GS is cheap and will go up. I wonder if the stock will go up much from here considering everyone is already bullish on this stock. Leaves me with more questions than answers.

Rising Gasoline is Good For Refiners

Look at Frontier and Marathon. Tesoro is up too much so I'd stay away.

Watch out for the Sell off Into the Close Today

I wouldn't be surprised if markets sell off from these levels into the close. If they go up on high volume into the close, that's a bullish sign but we are not there yet.

Don't worry about the Costco number. This one is for the long term.

Look Abroad for Growth in Search Marketing.

Having grown by more than 30% for each of the last three years, online ad spending in the US will rise by less than 19% in 2007, according to new eMarketer estimates. Ad Spending will need to shift focus on growth abroad with Forrester and Jupiter seeing growth slipping into the single digits by 2011.

Face Book More Popular than MySpace For 17-25.

In a recent survey conducted by Youth Trends, Facebook seems to be the site of choice for nearly 70% of females ages 17-25. This is the first time that Facebook was #1 for both men and women. MySpace it seems, attracts more users under the age of 17. Considering that January saw 61.5 million visitors to MySpace and 19 million to Facebook, the under 17 market is what advertisers should be looking to go after. eMarketer estimates that $865 million will be spent on social network ads this year.

Volume Not Convincing

Even though the market ended up big for the day, volume was light and if you bought today into the rally, I believe there is pain ahead for you.

Did you know that even though typical single women earns 30% less than typical single men, they save -1.4% compred to over 12% for men. CPI jumped 3.6% in Jan YOY for jewelry, clothes, cosmetics etc., compared to TV's, sporting goods and beer. This is based on a Merill Lynch study. No wonder I like Tiffany (TIF).
